I was still in the USMC when this first came out. I think GEN Gray was the Commandant who was the force behind this effort. Later, after I had joined the Army, I still did MCIs, and an updated version of this came with it. I still have both. A lot of good thinking in a small package.
Well done! I remember sitting at an All Officers meeting in the Las Pulgas chapel sometime around 1987 when we were handed the first edition. Capt Schmitt was the speaker. My reaction as a Lt was... "Whatever." But I read the book. And reread it. Again and again over the years. As I look back now, I can see how much it influenced the way I think and act in life, long past my tenure on active duty.
These are fantastic. Currently an OSO on recruiting and will using a lot of your stuff and recommending all my new Lts going to The Basic School to subscribe. Keep it up and thank you for the resources!
